For our regular services, we have a minimum requirement of four hours. This ensures that our caregivers can provide the necessary attention and care to meet your needs effectively.
While the four-hours minimum applies to our regular services, we also offer tailored care plans to suit specific requirements. Whether you need long-term care or short-term assistance, we work with you to customize our services to best support your individual circumstances.
In addition to our regular services, we offer district nursing and ad hoc services. These specialized services are designed to provide more flexibility and ensure comprehensive support for various health and care needs. District nursing is ideal for individuals who require medical care at home, such as wound care, medication management, and other medical treatments. Our ad hoc services allow you to receive care on a more flexible basis, whether it’s for a one-off appointment, urgent support, or care during temporary circumstances.

At Atlantic Caregiving, we aim to make the payment process as convenient and flexible as possible for our clients. We accept a variety of payment methods to accommodate different preferences, including bank transfers, checks, and card payments.
- Bank Transfers
We accept payments via bank transfer, which allows for secure and direct transactions from your bank account to ours. This method is ideal for clients who prefer to handle their payments electronically. Please ensure that you use the correct banking details provided to you during the billing process. - Checks
For those who prefer traditional payment methods, we also accept checks. If you choose to pay by check, simply issue it to the name listed on your invoice and mail it to the address provided. Please allow some time for processing, as checks can take a few business days to clear. - Card Payments
We understand that many of our clients prefer the convenience of card payments. As such, we accept all major credit and debit cards. This is the quickest way to settle your balance and ensures that your payment is processed immediately. You can make a card payment either online or over the phone.

Absolutely! With Atlantic Caregiving, you’ll have a dedicated care team looking after you including a primary and a secondary caregiver. While your primary caregiver will be your main point of contact, you’ll also benefit from a supportive team working behind the scenes to oversee your care and ensure your health and well-being are always a priority.

Bermuda Age and Disability, a part of Bermuda Government has a great definition of non- skilled (personal) and skilled caregiving, as well as care that requires a registered nurse. Please see the following explaination taken from their brochure “Looking for a caregiver tips“: Personal caregivers are persons interested in assisting others but may not have any formal training. Dementia training is recommended for those caring for persons or family
with dementia.

Personal Caregivers may provide:
• Companionship by engaging in conversation, and recreational activities
• Prompting, cueing or minimal hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and walking for non-frail and non-medically complex
persons
• Changing bed linens, putting out trash, light housekeeping
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Transportation Skilled Caregivers are nursing associates, or geriatric aides registered with the Bermuda
Nursing Council which requires completion of an approved educational training program.
Skilled Caregivers may perform personal caregiving tasks as well as:
• Hands on care for frail or bedridden for bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance such as transfers from
chair to bed
• Assist in monitoring for changes in health conditions
• May provide dressing changes to simple wounds but not complex.
Nurses, RN, are professionally trained nurses registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council who may provide:
• Care needs assessments, care planning
• Assessing and monitoring of health conditions
• Preparation and administration of medications
• Medical or nursing treatments
• Supervision of other caregivers. Only nurses (RN) registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council can prepare or administer medications. Skilled caregivers or Nursing Associates may assist the care recipient in following a medication schedule when medication are ready to take in clearly labelled
premeasured doses such as blister packs, or weekly pill organizers.
